After completing a Business Studies Degree majoring in Agribusiness and a Post Graduate Diploma in Agribusiness, Marketing and Management, Sara was employed by Richmond meat company (now PPCS) as a Management Cadet. Her initial role involved learning all areas of the business, before moving into the marketing team as a Marketing Assistant. After two and a half years Sara became Marketing Executive for the exporting company Bernard Matthews managing the US, Canada, UK and Australian markets as well as New Product Development and other marketing and sales projects. Sara was in this role for three and a half years before setting up her own business Scoop Enterprises in May 2007 which she has been successfully growing ever since.
Sara works with a number of clients spread nationwide and offers a large number of services to different companies. She is an experienced Sales and Marketing consultant, a professional and highly successful event organiser, as well as a Commercial Property manager and investor. Sara was married in February 2008 to Sam Orsborn (Wairarapa Farm Consultant - Bakers & Associates) and is now living in the Wairarapa, but returns to Hawkes Bay on a regular basis to service her Hawkes Bay clients. The successful growth of the business has also enabled her to take on an assistant Samantha Farrell who is based in the Hawke's Bay.
Sara also setup the the Voyage Mahia business (www.voyagemahia.co.nz) in 2007 providing holiday accommodation in the Mahia region which has also grown significantly. Her sister Amanda is now taken on the management of this project.
In 2008 Sara was selected to represent New Zealand as part of a Group Study Business Exchange to Brazil (April & May 2008). The 4 week programme with 3 other team members and a team manager involved living with Brazilian families and spending each day with different Brazilian businesses and associations. Sara spent time with Brazilian marketing companies, niche manufacturing companies and real estate businesses as well as a wide range of other organisations. This was an experience of a lifetime for Sara and the team.
Sara also has a personal and business interest in Commercial Property Investment, so has grown the Scoop Enterprises business to be a experienced Commercial Property Management business. Sara has a protfolio of retail, office and industrial properties which are spread from Wellington to Hawkes Bay.
Sara is a very active and determined young lady. She has a strong interest in sports including competitive equestrian, scuba diving and running plus much more and has represented her area in a number of national equestrian competitions. Sara's life has recently become even busier as she is now a mother too - young William was born 29th October 2008.

* Samantha Farrell - Client Services Manager
After completing a Business Studies Degree in the UK majoring in Marketing and Accounting, Sam went to work for Thames Water, one of England’s largest water and engineering companies as Assistant to the Marketing & Public Relations Director. During her four years with the company she gained experience in a number of roles including marketing & communications, public relations, press office and event management. In 1997 Sam decided it was time to see the world and headed off on her OE, spending 18 months away in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand. She returned to the Northern Hemisphere where she moved to Ireland and gained further business, marketing and project management experience.
Sam’s first visit to New Zealand was love at first sight so after five great years living and working in Co. Clare in Ireland she decided it was time to return permanently and moved to Hawke’s Bay in 2003.
After working for a number of Hawke’s Bay businesses broadening her skills in recruitment, IT, accounting and business management she decided it was time for a new challenge and joined Scoop Enterprises in April 2008. |
Sam has played a huge role in developing the Scoop Enterprise business, and when she isn't working she loves taking part in the great outdoor activities the Hawkes Bay region has to offer.
